Brenda Francis is a graduate of the University of the Pacific with a Master's in Business Administration and a Bachelor's of Science in Art & Entertainment Management. She founded Modesto Sound, a nonprofit teen creative studio, in 2005. She has worked with youth and the arts for over 10 years both in an administrative capacity and as a program innovator. Her experience includes creating youth community concerts, handling symphony finances, organizing a music camp and running a recording studio. Brenda is multi-cultural having lived abroad and traveled extensively. She speaks several languages and is a creative energetic leader who is able to create excitement within a learning environment. She has been instrumental in job training (recording, live sound, computers/web site development and radio production) for over 60 area youth, many of whom now work in the art & entertainment field. |

| Having served on several community boards, Brenda leads the Modesto Sound Advisory Committee and reports back to the Stanislaus Arts Council where she is an active member of the Board of Directors. In addition she volunteers at events such as the Tuolumne River Festival, Rotary Club Meetings, Center for Human Services Annual Fundraiser, and Career Day at Modesto Junior College. For the past six years she has given free music & technology presentations at area middle and high schools. | ![]() |
